About Department of Commerce

Commerce accelerates economic growth and thereby business opportunities and job creation through employability. With this objective the Department of Commerce was established in the year 2010.The Department of Commerce , Veer Narmad South Gujarat University, Surat-Gujarat, offers specialization in the subject of ‘Financial & Management Accounting’ which includes multidisciplinary areas of Economics, Management, Finance, Accounting, soft skills etc. The department offers an innovative and flexible learning environment with excellent staffs. This holistic approach will help the student in the overall development as they will be converse with various aspects of the society. Emphasis is laid down to cater the local and global needs of employability in the field of commerce/finance. Furthermore, department has taken an initiative towards women empowerment by introducing a dedicated batch for girls students. Department of Commerce adheres strictly to the reservation policy of the government of Gujarat and UGC. The University grant’s admission on the basis of merit.
