Department of Comparative Literature


The Departments admits 50 students in its M.A. Programme. It observes the reservation policy of the government of Gujarat strictly. The admission is granted as per the merit list based on the marks secured in the under-graduate course.
            M.Phil admission is based on written test and a viva-voce. Eligibility for application is 50% marks at the Post-Graduate level. Here again the reservation policy of the state and the U.G.C. are followed.
            For Ph.D. programme, candidates have to formulate a proposal to the University based on their chosen subject. The proposal is presented before a panel of experts consisting of academics from other Universities. If the proposal is approved the candidate are allowed to register for Ph.D. and pursue the project.
