Dr. Manish R. Patel

With over two decades of experience as a faculty in economics to my credit I have gained expertise in the area of public finance, international trade, research methodology and Quantitative Methods for Economics. My domain area comprises of research in federal finance. My Ph.D Dissertation was on “Municipal Finances of Surat” where in a comparative study of Surat and Ahmedabad Municipal corporations were undertaken. To date two students have attained their doctoral degree while three students are still working for the same. Over and above pleased to add that I have quite a few national and international research Publicationss to my credit. These also include In-house departmental Working papers. This apart, my service to the University and the departmental administration also needs a mention. I have been part of many interview, Local Inquiry, and exam committees which adds to the corporate responsibility. Needless to say that by also being a committee member of various committees in the department my role as coordinator of cultural and sports activities also calls for a special mention.
