Prof & Head (Dr.) S.Srinivasa Rao

Dr. S.Srinivasa Rao, being a senior faculty in the post-department of economics, apart from being the Head, carries the responsibility to develop the academic profile of the department. He has to his credit six major and minor research projects funded by UGC, ICSSR, NACO among others. He has over 40 research Publicationss to date and has chaired over 50 academic sessions in the various seminars and conferences. He is Conference president elect for the Gujarat Economic Association’s annual conference to be held in2022. He is a life member of Indian Society of Labour Economics, Indian Society for Environmental Economics. As a head he has been responsible for the immediate infrastructure like, the state of art Library, laboratory and the seminar hall. He is responsible for an unique venture to start publishing working papers on different economic issues. To date 7 working papers have been published by the department, jointly with faculty from the colleges and other departments.
